BisonSat hardware consists of a mix of COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) and SKC designed subsystems.

• CDH – Pumpkin 1U structure and Command and Data Handling Subsystem
• COM – AstroDev VHF/UHF radio board with SKC designed and fabricated antennas
• EPS – Clyde Space Electric Power Control board with four Clyde Space solar panels and two SKC designed and fabricated panels
• ADC – Attitude control design by SKC (passive magnetic control)
• PAY – Camera board design by SKC
• HMB – Power switching board design by SKC
